Synopsis. Paolo Angeli, a guitarist and ethnomusicologist from Sardinia, is a highly regarded musician known throughout the world. As the creator of the “prepared Sardinian guitar”—an instrument he conceived and built himself—he combines the genius of an artist with the resourcefulness of an inventor. After an artistic journey that took him across the musical boundaries of the Mediterranean, he has recently rediscovered the musical traditions of his native island. In 2024 Paolo Angeli performed live for the first time with the Tenore Murales de Orgosolo; this marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration that not only saw the guitarist perform alongside the choir on stages across Italy and Europe but also led to the recording of a new studio album.
